Why Assembly
Dedication. Expertise. Passion.
The Extended Team
Assembly principals each come from two decades+ of institutional real estate investment and management experience and finance. They have built a national network of tax attorneys, appraisers, specialist CPAs, and real estate professionals across every major market and asset class. That network is the engine behind every engagement. For portfolio owners with assets across multiple states and jurisdictions, Assembly coordinates and supervises the full team, managing every deadline, every appeal, and every jurisdiction. The principals are on every engagement. The network provides the scale

Launched Assembly Tax in 2006 with three decades of commercial real estate experience across acquisitions, capital markets, development, and asset management. Has valued data centers and capital-intensive infrastructure since 1999, through every technology generation, capital market cycle, and market dislocation the sector has seen. Career highlights include repositioning a major institutional data center portfolio for Morgan Stanley, acquisitions work for a national data center platform and NY Private Equity firms, and establishing the first national property tax practice at Newmark. That foundation in investment, development, and private equity advisory informs every valuation approach Assembly deploys across real property, personal property, and capital equipment.

Senior Real Estate Advisor
Lois Kagan
MBA, Virginia Commonwealth University School of Business, Finance
BBA, Hofstra University; Marketing;
Mentor Urban Land Institute
Twenty-five years of senior leadership across capital markets, acquisitions, development, and asset and risk management at top institutional platforms. Originated $7 billion across the full capital stack: senior debt, CMBS, mezzanine, preferred equity, and equity at Lehman Brothers and Bank of America and in private equity, where she helped scale a $40 million real estate startup to a $1 billion, 300-asset portfolio across 7.4 million square feet.
That depth across the capital stack, and the underwriting discipline it demands, brings a lender and investor lens to the most complex engagements. For assets where income reframing, capital structure, and market evidence all intersect, that perspective sharpens both the valuation argument and the execution.
